"I'm thrilled," said DeFranco on Monday night, when she was recognized at the Board of Trustees meeting. Trustee and Design Review Committee member Nancy Gould awarded DeFranco a $250 credit good towards recreation and cultural arts programming offered by The Baird, including badges, classes, concerts, and recreational programming.

"We'll use it for recreation," said DeFranco, "or sports."

The new design will appear on two types of signs, entry signs that identify each park, and park rules and regulations signage.

Congratulations to Mary Jo DeFranco!
