Every year the South Orange Rotary Club gifts dictionaries to third-grade students in the South Orange Maplewood School district. This year the South Orange Club is expanding its philanthropy.
For many years, South Orange Rotary has gifted dictionaries to third graders in the South Orange Maplewood School District. This year they are continuing the expansion of their project to the Orange School District. There is no Rotary Club in that community. Rotarians are all volunteers. To expand this project, they approached the Rotary Clubs in the surrounding communities.
We are happy to report that West Orange Rotary agreed to partner in the project and in the coming weeks, Rotarians from both clubs will distribute almost five hundred dictionaries throughout the Orange School System. All Rotary clubs are dedicated to their motto of "Service above Self" and welcome new members.
